Burger fundraiser to support family of Midland police officer

The Midland Police Department is holding a burger fundraiser for an officer whose child was born “very premature” and will require surgery.

The fundraiser will take place 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, in the basement of the Midland Police Department. A burger, chips and a drink cost $10. Call before July 18 to pick up orders.

“The goal is to help the family with the medical bills,” according to the MPD, which is also raffling off a gun to raise additional funds.
