Bush Tennis Center tournament raises $5K for Bynum School

A Bush Tennis Center tournament earlier this month raised $5,000 for Bynum School, the Permian Basin’s only year-round school specializing in teaching individuals ages three to adult with special needs.

High school student Nithin Reddy and his father, Dr. Punaepalli Sridhar Reddy, helped coordinate the first “Bynum and Buddies Tennis Tournament.”

“We appreciate Nithin, his father, and the Bush Tennis Center’s commitment to our students and desire to give back to the community,” Bynum School Executive Director Keri St. John said.

Bush Tennis Center offers weekly tennis lessons to the students at Bynum School. The tournament was “an excellent opportunity for them to practice and have fun,” according to the tennis center.

“Our students eagerly anticipate their weekly lessons,” St. John said. “It’s a terrific way for them to stay physically and socially active.”
