Carlsbad model home transformed into Christmas store for fundraiser
They say home is where the heart is.
Right now, there’s plenty of heart at Oasis Model Homes.
Home builder KT Homes has allowed a model home in Carlsbad to be transformed into a Christmas Store for a holiday fundraiser.
The fundraiser will support the Madison Lee Memorial Fund, a nonprofit working to construct a park in the Oasis subdivision (Carlbad’s southside) in memory of Madison Lee Ave, who died in a tragic accident in 2014 at just 14 months old, according to Carlsbad Mayor Dale Janway.
On Thursday, Oct. 27, a ribbon-cutting was celebrated at the Christmas Store at 3816 N. Pat Garrett Ct. The store opens from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Thursday morning’s event also marked the groundbreaking for Madison Lee Park, which is set to be built in phases. For more information on the park project, go to here.
The Christmas Store offers decorations, ornaments, wreaths, signs, mancaves, kitchen gifts, wine accessories, candles, phone accessories, and so much more. Gift-wrapping services are available, too.
CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated KT Homes is a mobile home dealer, when in fact the company builds new homes.
