Cast your vote for creepiest doll

Amidst Halloween and election seasons, the Midland Historical Society (MHS) is challenging community members to cast their vote on a particularly concerning issue: Which doll from its collection is the creepiest?

On Tuesday, Oct. 25, the MHS is inviting community members over age 10 to stop by the Brown-Dorsey Home at 213  N. Weatherford St. to view a portion of its doll collection and learn some mysterious stories about Midland’s past. The event will run from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

“Experience Midland’s oldest home in a unique manner with dolls, tales and a few additional seldom-seen ‘weird’ items from the museum collection,'” museum officials said. “Cast your vote for creepiest doll and favorite story to be entered in a drawing for a pair of signed Midland history books by local historian Jim Collett.”

A $10 donation fee is requested for admission. All the proceeds from the evening will go to support renovation of the home.
