Cavern City Renaissance Festival set to return to Carlsbad

After a successful first run last year, the 2nd Annual Cavern City Renaissance Festival will return to Carlsbad Beach during the weekend of Sept. 29-30.

Last year, the festival attracted nearly 4,000 attendees and 53 vendors to the beach bandshell at Lake Carlsbad Recreation Area. This year, the festival will return to the same location but with 78 vendors, organizers stated on social media.

Organizers encouraged residents of the Permian Basin to again “step into a world of enchanment and revelry” to see history come alive through music, magic, artisan vendors, thrilling armored combat and bountiful food and drink.

Adult tickets for Friday’s event, which runs from 4-8 p.m., are $20. Everyone under age 18 enter free on Friday.

Adult tickets for Saturday’s event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., are $20 for adults and $10 for children.
