Champion UTPB football program kicks off spring season
The UT Permian Basin football program, the 2023 Lone Star Conference Champion, kicked off the spring season this week, which will include 15 practices that will culminate with the annual spring game on Saturday, March 30, according to UTPB Athletics’ Brandon Warr.
The Falcons will hold one scrimmage prior to the spring game on Thursday, March 7 at 7:15 p.m.
All practices, the majority of which will be held every Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday this month and next, are open to the public and media, Warr said. See the full schedule below.
The Falcons will hold Junior Visit Day on Saturday, March 30.

Head Coach Kris McCullough expressed excitement about getting back on the field.
“All of the work that went into last year’s conference championship has to be elevated to another level now,” he said. “We basically started from scratch in January and are treating everything like we did a year ago.”
The team’s slogan is FAMILLY, which stands for “Focus, Accountability, Mentality, Inspire, Learn, Love, Yes.”
