Chevron partners with Ice Wolves to help grow hockey in New Mexico
Chevron’s logo is set to appear on the New Mexico Ice Wolves’ game rink and dasher board in Outpost Ice Arenas’ south rink in Albuquerque starting with the 2024-2025 hockey season due to its new multi-year partnership with the team and venue.
“Chevron’s support for the New Mexico Ice Wolves is a perfect fit,” says Chevron General Manager of Operations Bobby Hulett. He said the collaboration underscores the company’s commitment to the communities in New Mexico where they live and work and “will put smiles on the faces of many of our employees who share a love for hockey.”
Stan E. Hubbard, owner of the New Mexico Ice Wolves and Outpost Ice Arenas, said Chevron will help them grow the game of hockey and all ice sports in the state and they look forward to working together on exciting promotions for fans.

This isn’t the first time ice and oil have collaborated. Last season, the team and Chevron partnered for a special event that saw more than 750 Chevron employees and family members from New Mexico and Texas come out for a friendly wager over the winner of the NAHL game between the NM Ice Wolves and the Odessa Jackalopes. Chevron ultimately donated $5,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of the Permian Basin and $2,500 to the University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center through the University of New Mexico Foundation in Albuquerque.
The Ice Wolves kick off their season at home Friday, Sept. 13 at 6:30 p.m. MT and Saturday, Sept. 14 at 6:30 p.m. MT as they host the USA Hockey National Team Development Program (US NTDP). Following that weekend, the team opens its regular season against the Corpus Christi IceRays.
