Dallas Cowboys Chaplain Jonathan Evans to speak in Monahans

Dallas Cowboys Chaplain Jonathan Evans is set to deliver “A Night of Hope” in Monahans on Wednesday, Aug. 31.

Evans, a former NFL fullback, including with the Cowboys, is set to present “an awesome program” at the Ward County Event Center, according to Teresa Burnett, executive director of the Monahans Chamber of Commerce, which is sponsoring the event in partnership with Churches of Monahans.

Doors open at 6:45 p.m., but those arriving early can enjoy food vendors and jump houses from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Evans is a mentor, author and speaker who additionally serves as co-chaplain with the Dallas Mavericks, according to his website. He serves with his pastor and father Dr. Tony Evans in both the local church and the national ministry. The father-son duo partnered to write Get in the Game, which employs “sports analogies and spiritual truths” to help readers live “victoriously.”
