ECISD earns ‘A’ for college, career and military readiness

Ector County ISD (ECISD) scored an “A” in College, Career and Military Readiness (CCMR) with 88 percent, a 15-point increase over last year and 12 points exceeding the score for the state of Texas.

The CCMR measure helps ensure Texas students are prepared for life post-graduation from high school. The scores are given to every high school and school district, consisting of a large percentage of the school’s TEA Accountability Rating, according to the ECISD.

The ECISD’s latest CCMR score continues the school district’s annual rise since 2020 from 58 percent to 63 percent to 65 percent to 73 percent and currently 88 percent.

ECISD Interim Superintendent Dr. Keeley Boyer said that improving the CCMR score is a goal of the school board and also a priority for the district. “A lot of people have worked tirelessly to make sure we are tracking students as early as 9th grade to keep them on pace to earn their CCMR credit.”
