Ellen Noël Art Museum invites community to 37th Annual Shrimpfest fundraiser

The Ellen Noël Art Museum of the Permian Basin (ENAM) is inviting the community to its 37th annual Shrimpfest fundraiser on Monday, Feb. 27, 2023, at the Ector County Coliseum, Building G.

Over 1,200 people are expected to attend the event, which serves as the Museum’s largest and most successful fundraiser of the year.

For $50 in advance and $55 at the door, guests get unlimited Cajun shrimp, a drink and opportunities to participate in silent and live auctions. Auction prizes include vacations, hunting trips, beauty products, jewelry and art from local artists, according to ENAM. The auction, a partnership between ENAM and American Fundraising Foundation, includes these amazing adventures: an Alaskan cruise, Castles of Ireland, Greek Islands, Iceland, Sedona, Treasures of Rome, Florence, and Tuscany, Tropical Costa Rica, and Vegas to Utah’s National Parks. Each trip includes three years with no blackouts to travel, roundtrip airfare, travel specialist, and deluxe accommodations, according to ENAM.

ENAM is also offering sponsorship opportunities for the fundraiser, which can be viewed on the ENAM website at noelartmuseum.org.

The nonprofit relies on fundraisers like Shrimpfest to supplement funding from donations, memberships and grants. Proceeds from the event sustain important programs like Art 2 Go for second graders whose schools lack art, Free Community Art Days with activities for all ages, and Fine Arts Connection third grade field trips. Funds raised enable the Museum to bring in exhibitions at no cost to the community, like Bones of Texas, which is on display through Feb. 23, and to expand, develop and diversify programs to better meet the needs of ENAM’s growing community.

General admission entry for Shrimpfest is 7 p.m., while sponsor-only entry is at 5:30 p.m.
