Endless Horizons fundraising to remain open amid challenging times

Endless Horizons announces it will cease operations after Oct. 21

Endless Horizons Records & Tapes, Inc. in Odessa announced “with a heavy heart” on Friday that the store will cease operations after Oct. 21.

“We don’t want you to be sad because we are grateful for being able to serve this community for 48 years,” a post on the store’s Facebook page stated Friday. “Come on by and let’s make some final memories together. We will be open Monday-Saturday 9-9 and Sundays 12-5 until October 21st.”

Endless Horizons had been appealing for community support, and even held a concert fundraiser, after facing what store representatives called relentless challenges posed by the ongoing global economic downturn. The unique store has operated in a prominent location at 2525 Andrews Hwy. since 1975.

In its Facebook post announcing the impending closure on Friday, Endless Horizon included the photo of a sign stating that all items in the store are now 50 percent off.
