Endless Horizons fundraising to remain open amid challenging times

Endless Horizons Records & Tapes, Inc. is appealing for community support after facing what store representatives called relentless challenges posed by the ongoing global economic downturn, per Facebook.

The longtime music store—which has served the Odessa community since 1975—is holding a benefit concert in September and is suggesting other ways to help it prevail during uncertain times. Without community support, the store stated that it might have to close or relocate.

“Despite tireless effort to weather the storm and adapt to changing times, Endless Horizons has faced a sharp decline in business,” stated the store on Facebook, noting that the emergence of online retailers, digital platforms and COVID-19’s “prolonged aftermath” have caused difficulty. The store underscored that it’s been “increasingly challenging to meet operating costs and sustain essential services for our customers.”

Endless Horizons shared on Facebook that it will be holding a benefit concert Sat., Sept. 16 at a location to be announced and is currently seeking sponsors and bands. Sponsorship levels range from the Sam Level at $500 (including five free tickets/logo on all materials) to the Ron Level at $1,500 (10 free tickets/logo) to the David Level at $2,500 (10 free tickets/logo) and to the Tom Level at $5,000 (10 free tickets, two VIP tables and logo). The store also suggested other means of support, such as visiting it and making a purchase. “Every purchase no matter how big or small, makes a difference in sustaining our business,” stated Endless Horizons.

The store also suggested community members spread the word about its story and encourage others to visit and make a purchase—and additionally asked people to consider supporting its $35 T-shirt campaign. Other ways the store said people can lend a helping hand include purchasing a gift certificate for someone or simply donating to support it.

“In these times, we humbly request the unwavering support of our cherished community to rally behind Endless Horizons and help us avert this looming crisis,” stated the store on Facebook.
