Eunice High bull rider represents Team USA in Australia
The Hobbs News-Sun recently reported on an impressive senior at Eunice High School who recently competed – and performed well – as a junior bull rider for Team USA in Australia.
“Tyson Acosta was only three years old when he first tried to ride a beast competitively, and stay on it,” the News-Sun’s Peter Stein writes in this interesting profile.
The competition in Australia marked Tyson’s first ever flight or trip out of the country, Stein reports.

“It was long, it was a long trip,” Tyson said.
During the trip, he placed fourth in the junior bull riding competition at the southern hemisphere’s largest rodeo in Mt. ISA, according to the News-Sun.
Tyson’s advice for other young competitors.
“Just practice hard and don’t let go.”
