‘Golfing for groceries’ tournament to support Mission Agape food programs
Mission Agape, a nonprofit dedicated to addressing food insecurity in Midland and surrounding counties, will host its 3rd Annual Golfing for Groceries Scramble Golf Tournament at Hogan Park Golf Course in Midland on Saturday, April 15.
The tournament, which will feature a variety of competitions and prizes for participants, aims to raise funds to support the organization’s food programs, which feed over 4,500 children and adults every month.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available for those interested in supporting Mission Agape’s food programs.
“We are excited to host the 3rd Annual Golfing for Groceries Tournament and appreciate the community’s support for our food programs,” said Stacy Baccus, founder and executive director of Mission Agape. “We believe that no one should go hungry, and this event is an opportunity to help us make a difference in the lives of those struggling with food insecurity in our community.”
Mission Agape has served within the Permian Basin since January 2012 through different community events and programs to demonstrate God’s Love in Action. With the help of volunteers and donors, the organization has had a significant impact on the lives of those in need in the community.
