Grammy-winning songwriters coming to The Ector Theatre for ‘Bluebird Night’

Grammy-winning Nashville songwriters Liz Rose and Lori McKenna and fellow accomplished songwriter Phil Barton are set to participate in BlueBird Night at the Ector Theatre on Saturday, March 25.

BlueBird Night will provide a “unique peek behind the curtain” into the lives and works of Nashville songwriters and storytellers, from written page to concert stage, according to the event’s host, the Education Foundation of Odessa. The event “will reveal the true heart and soul of the music as told and performed by the those who put pen to paper and touch our hearts and lives,” the Foundation added.

Liz Rose is a country music songwriter best known for her work with Taylor Swift, having cowritten 17 of Swift’s songs including You Belong With Me, Teardrops On My Guitar, White Horse and All Too well.

Lori McKenna co-wrote Little Big Town’s “Girl Crush,” wrote Tim McGraw’s “Humble and Kind” and cowrote “Always Remember Us this Way from the film A Star is Born.

Phil Barton is an Australian songwriter living in Nashville who wrote Lee Brice’s “A Woman Like You,” and co-produced a children’s album called Prayed For This Day for Chrissy Metz’s children’s book “When I Talk To God,” among other accolades.

Tickets for the BlueBird Night, which will start at 7:30 p.m., are $60 and $80 plus a handling fee and can be purchased here. VIP seating is also available by calling the Education Foundation Office at (432) 456-7059.
