Jolene’s House, a shelter for women and their children, coming soon to Pecos

Jolene’s House, a new shelter for women and their children who have experienced abuse or challenging circumstances, will open soon in Pecos, according to City officials.

Located at 2226 Texas St., the shelter includes 16 secure and compassionate apartment-style units and is designed to provide a secure haven, offering a range of vital services including safe housing, professional counseling and comprehensive life skills training.

Jolene’s House is a collaboration between the Town of Pecos, Target Logistics and Endeavors. The property was purchased by the City, while Target Logistics contributed to the infrastructure, housing, and office buildings. Additionally, Endeavors will provide on-site staff for counseling and life skills needs.

“The Town of Pecos City is excited to provide this vital resource to our community, and we are accepting monetary donations to support the shelter,” officials said. “Our goal is to ensure that women and children in need receive the assistance and support they need to heal and build a brighter future.”

More information about Jolene’s House will be available soon. For updates, visit the Town of Pecos City website. Monetary donations can be made at City Hall.
