Lone Star Brass offers up ‘Audience Choice’

Lone Star Brass, the resident brass quintet of the West Texas Symphony, will have a spring recital called “Audience Choice” Thursday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the FMH Foundation Garden at Arts Council Midland.

The brass quintet will perform classical selections by Bach, Holborne, Deddos, Lara and other popular works. As the recital’s title suggests, the program’s second half will be the audience’s choice.

The musicians included in Lone Star Brass include Eric Baker, trumpet; Ben Fairfield, trumpet; Scott Millichamp, horn; Stewart Rhodes, trombone; and Arturo Galvan, tuba.

The quintet “presents concerts that display the consummate technical skill of each performer and the expertise involved in working together as an ensemble,” according to the West Texas Symphony.

Tickets are $25 for general admission and $12 for students and can be purchased online, via 800-514-3849 or at the door.

The FMH Foundation Garden at Arts Council Midland is and outdoor venue located at 1506 W. Illinois Ave. in Midland.
