Midland airport reports record for airline passengers in fiscal year

Midland International Air & Space Port reported a record 679,622 airline passenger boardings this fiscal year, even though there is still one month remaining in the fiscal year.

The fiscal year for the City of Midland begins in October and continues through the following September.

Eleven months into fiscal year 2023, the airport reported 603,729 passengers leaving the Midland airport. In all of fiscal year 2023, the total was 661,842 passengers.

In August, the Airports Department reported 63,704 passengers flying out of Midland, compared with 57,282 the previous year.

The figures count passengers flying out of Midland on airlines including American Eagle, Delta, Southwest and United.

The airport set another, related record for net parking revenues with $697,928 in August. The revenue, collected by the City of Midland, is a 10.55 percent increase over August 2023. Currently, fiscal year parking revenues are at $7,551,318.
