Midland readies for 3-day Permian Basin Comic Con X: Holiday Edition
More than 200 vendors, cosplayers, comic book artists, and celebrity guests — including Santa Claus — will visit the Midland Horshoe Arena for the Permian Basin Comic Con X: Holiday Edition (PBCCX) from Friday, Dec. 9-Sunday, Dec. 11.
The event features a huge comic artist and vendor selection where folks can fetch collectibles, a cool shirt, art or handcrafted item. PBCCX also includes panels and autographs from celebrities and creators in the industry, including David Errigo and Vincent Martella, actors in Phineas and Ferb, and Austin St. John and David Fielding, actors in the Power Rangers. See more attending celebs in the flyer below.
Also featured at this year’s event is a cosplay contest, gaming, live entertainment (including a performance from the Midland High Orechestra), a chill zone for kids and free photos with Santa Claus. Local biz The Hive Comics will host tournaments and tutorials, while the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel will host a Holiday Night Party with music by DJ Spree.
Online tickets cost $15 for a Friday pass and $20 for each Saturday and Sunday pass. A Kids Weekend Pass goes for just $10. All ticket prices go up $5 when purchased at the door.
