Midland RockHounds on verge of single-season win record

The Midland RockHounds are headed to the playoffs for the first time since 2019.

The team will meet the Frisco RoughRiders in the best-of-three South Division Championship Series starting Tuesday, Sept. 17, at Momentum Bank Ballpark.

The RockHounds, currently 80-52, are also within reach of the franchise’s all-time single-season win total of 83, set by the 2015 Texas League championship club. They’ll look to march toward that record when they start a six-game series at Corpus Christi on Tuesday, Sept. 10.
