Midland Wellness tour to include ninja obstacle course
Whether it’s swimming at the YMCA, doing yoga in the park, going on an interpretive hike or getting fit at the Midland College Fitness Center, the annual weeklong Wellness Tour will offer plenty of free ways to improve ones’ health from Tuesday, July 12, through Saturday, July 16.
On each day, free wellness activities will take place throughout the city, according to Midland Health, the event’s creator and organizer. This year’s event brings a special finale: The free 125-foot Ninja Nation Obstacle Course for ages 5 and up, which the city says will be at the Horseshoe Pavilion Saturday, July 16, from 8 a.m. to noon. All participants, including adults, must bring a signed waiver to use the obstacle course.
Participants are encouraged to download an activity BINGO card to check off the boxes of each activity they’ve completed during the week of the Wellness Tour. They will receive an entry into a drawing for prizes for each activity they completed. They can either bring their card to the City of Midland booth at the Ninja Nation Obstacle Course and Resource Fair. Prizes include family pool passes to the Washington Aquatic Center or Doug Russell Pool for the 2022 season; rental of the activity and game room at MLK Community Center; rental of any park pavilion and Rockhounds gift basket.
