Midland YMCA preps to give away 500 holiday meals to families in need

Need food this holiday season? The Midland YMCA is inviting community members to register to receive a free holiday meal.

The Y plans to give away 500 turkey dinners to community members in need.

Registered recipients will be asked to pick up their turkey and sides on Sunday, Dec. 18, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Y at 800 N. Big Spring St.

To reserve your meal, call the Midland YMCA at (432) 682-2551.

Also on Saturday, Dec. 17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Y is holding a “Drop N Shop” event enabling parents to drop off their kids for a Christmas-themed brunch featuring games, crafts and more.
