Odessa College opens facility featuring a simulation hospital
Odessa College (OC) recently celebrated the grand opening of its new 83,000-square-foot Wood Health and Sciences Building, which features a simulation hospital.
Located on the first floor, the Medical Center Hospital Simulation Hospital is set up just like an actual hospital where students will train and learn in a safe environment, according to OC.
“The training experience will include the first responders bringing in patients, and the different departments cooperating and communicating with each other as the patients make their way through the hospital as if it were the actual hospital,” said Ken Zartner, OC VP for Administrative Services.
