One Objective, a nonprofit that provides youth mentoring and resources, recently granted $5,000 scholarships to five Ector County ISD graduates.

Students were awarded the Pathways By One Objective Scholarship and the Anthony Bolton Scholarship, named after a recently passed member of the organization. The former scholarship recognizes students who demonstrated academic excellence and personal strengths of character and perseverance, while the latter honors Bolton’s legacy by supporting students who have shown resilience, leadership, and dedication to their studies.

Recipients were selected based on an application and essay submission.

Scholarship recipients include Rihanna Coker of Odessa Collegiate Academy, who will attend Texas Southern University next year; Ivania Montesino Rios, Permian High School, the University of Texas Permian Basin; Alexia Noda Rodriguez, Permian HS, UTPB; Ashlynn Elliott, Permian HS, Sam Houston State University and Kubra Kocak, New Tech Odessa, University of Texas (not pictured).
