Permian High’s Panther Paws open for Rockettes
Right before the world-renown Rockettes performed their Christmas Spectacular show at 8 p.m. Thurs., Nov. 30 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, a little touch of West Texas took the stage.
Permian High School’s varsity Panther Paws Dance Team appeared as the opening act for the Rockettes show, donning bright pink outfits and looking every bit the professional dance troupe. The team performed in a single line of dancers, evoking the Rockettes’ famed formation on the big stage.
Prior to their performance, the Panther Paws had an opportunity to take a class with the Rockettes, per the team on Facebook.
Following the performance, team representative said on Facebook that the appearance was “an amazing and once in a lifetime opportunity” for the girls. The poster expressed pride in the girls for their hard work to prepare for the performance and posted a video of it.
