Video: Midland Chamber celebrates 100 years of fostering productivity and innovation

In 1924, the Midland Chamber of Commerce set out to support a burgeoning business community. The founders could not have imagined the tremendous impact their small West Texas community would have on the world in the century to follow.

As the first major oil company to establish offices in Midland through its legacy companies, Chevron expressed gratitude for the Midland Chamber. As part of its sponsorship of the Midland Chamber’s Centennial Kickoff Soiree on Dec. 18, 2023, Chevron unveiled a video (see below) paying tribute to the Chamber’s historic 100 years of steadfast service.

“After 100 years, the Chamber continues to help foster a climate of productivity and innovation that makes the Permian Basin globally important and also a great place to live and work,” the company stated.
