West Texas Symphony to present ‘An Americana Salute to Our Veterans’
The West Texas Symphony will honor service members and showcase popular Americana repertoire on Veterans Day via “An Americana Salute to Our Veterans” Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center.
With Gary Leis as the musical director and conductor, the special evening will showcase selections including the Americana Salute by Morton Gould, Appalachian Spring and Lincoln Portrait by Aaron Copland, Hymn to the Fallen (from Saving Private Ryan) by John Williams, as well as others.
The Chamber Chorale and Voices of the Permian Basin youth choir will also share vocal performances.
