Volunteers sought for Midland Independence Day festivities

While volunteers are needed at a variety of times, the highest need is from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

The Mildand Chamber Chamber of Commerce is seeking volunteers to support the upcoming, daylong 2022 Star-Spangled Salute celebration on Saturday, July 2, at Centennial Park in Downtown Midland.

“We anticipate an attendance of about 10,000-15,000 at this year’s Independence Day festivities, ” the Chamber said. “An event of this size can only be successful with the help of many volunteers.”

The event will run from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. and while volunteers are needed at a variety of times, the highest need is from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

The Food Court will open throughout the day, a Beer Garden will open from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and a Fun Zone opens from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
