Why We’re Permian Proud
Chevron is pleased to introduce Permian Proud. As a company that’s been part of this region since 1925, we know first-hand the unique character and history of this community. We think it’s about time to showcase the local residents and organizations who make our community a special place to live, work and play, as well as the outsized role our region plays in a world facing ever-increasing demand for energy.
We aim to complement the important work of existing local media by providing hyper-local news you won’t find anywhere else. Our focus will be on news and information that makes us all proud to live in the Permian Basin, including the efforts of our new and existing industries and businesses, nonprofits, cultural centers, schools and neighbors. We’ll promote the new museum exhibit, a pizza shop grand opening, and the teachers who go the extra mile for their students.

We’ll also update you on what has made the Permian Basin an essential region of the world – energy. Permian Proud News aims to document our region’s unique past, present and future as a vital supplier of the oil and gas that enable human progress, from fueling the cars we drive and the tractors that grow our crops to the medical advancements that save lives and the thousands of consumer products we rely upon every day.
