Midland Community Theatre invites chocolate lovers to ‘Golden Ticket Experience’
Thanks to Midland Community Theatre (MCT), you don’t have to be as lucky as Charlie Bucket to find the Golden Ticket needed to tour the chocolate factory.
In a clever and fun promotion of its upcoming production of “Charlie and The Chocolate Factory,” set to run from Feb. 3 through March 4 in Davis Theatre I, the MCT is offering ticket-holders the “Golden Ticket Experience” — an opportunity to test your temptations at Midland’s own chocolate factory: Susie’s South Forty Confections.
For $50 per person, the Golden Ticket Experience includes a tour of Susie’s South Forty candy factory at 401 S. Marienfeld St.; the opportunity to hand-dip your own chocolate treats, photos with “Charlie and The Chocolate Factory” cast members and a grab and go lunch. The Experience, sponsored by Susie’s South Forty, will occur on two dates: Saturday, Feb. 4 and Saturday, Feb. 18 at 11 a.m.

And don’t forget to purchase your tickets to the famous play centered on the adventures of Charlie Bucket at Willy Wonka’s world-famous factory. In the story, Charlie and four other children win golden tickets contained in chocolate bars that send them on a life-changing tour of Wonka’s chocolate factory.
