Over 500 band students perform for Midland ISD sixth graders
Sixth graders across Midland ISD received an exclusive performance by more than 500 band students at Astound Broadband Stadium on Wednesday, according to the school district.
The performance featured high school, junior high and Bowie band students.
Good news is you don’t need to be a sixth grader to see this sort of grand performance.
This Saturday, the Bands of America West Texas Regional Championships will bring over 20 bands across Texas to Astound Broadband Stadium, including local schools. A full day’s worth of performances starts at 7:30 a.m.
The price for an adult ticket is $23 online for preliminary performances that occur throughout the day ($30 onsite) and $23 for Finals performances that start at 7:30 p.m. ($30 onsite). A full day pass for the prelims and finals goes for $36 online and $43 onsite. To purchase tickets online, go here.
