Plant-based meat production ingenuity comes to Hobbs
On Wednesday, Sept. 25, Seattle-based Rebellyous Foods, which makes plant-based products that compete with traditional chicken products, unveiled its Mock 2 Production System, a continuous, automated processor that can produce a wide range of plant-based meat products at volumes of 2,500-5,000 pounds per hour on a single processing line. The technology is operating out of the facility on Grimes Street run by RMS Foods, maker of BOCA plant-based products.
Christie Lagally, founder and CEO of Rebellyous Foods, said the Mock 2 Production System ushers in “the future of food.”
