Reps from over 70 Texas chambers of commerce are gathering in Odessa
Representatives from more than 70 chambers of commerce in Texas are meeting in Odessa for the annual Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives Conference (TCCE) from Tuesday, June 27, through Thursday, June 29, according to the Odessa Chamber of Commerce.
The three-day conference will draw about 200 attendees to the Odessa Marriott & Conference Center. The annual event “brings together chamber professionals from across Texas to network, discuss ideas, and learn new skills with colleagues who are facing similar challenges,” according to the Odessa Chamber.
Odessa Discover put in a bid to host this event more than a year ago, said Renee’ Earls, president and CEO of the Odessa Chamber and Conference Chair.
“Odessa Chamber is honored and proud to show off our community to our colleagues from across Texas,” said Earls, who added, “We have three full days planned out, and we are ready to roll out the red carpet and show the attendees our West Texas hospitality.”
This year’s event will feature national speakers including Association of Chambers of Commerce CEO Sheree Anne Kelly, US Chamber energy guru Christopher Guith and MetLife executive Vincent Branchesi, according to Jim Johnson, TCCE board chair and CEO of the Pearland Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Ray Perryman will speak on the economy and Texas Association of Business Glenn Hamer will provide an update on the 88th Legislative session, Johnson added.
“We’ve built panels discussing the Chamber role in disasters, workforce development, advocacy and pursuing excellence,” Johnson said. “Finally, we’ve put together highly practical, ‘how to’ sessions on how Chambers can immediately use and create digital advertising, AI tools, membership campaigns, leadership programs and create new events.”
