School’s out for summer, but it’s already time to ‘Stuff the Bus’ with supplies
While schools are out for the summer, the time to hold a supply drive or to make a donation is now.
That’s the latest announcement from Communities in Schools of the Permian Basin (CISPB), the citizen-started group that has worked since 1999 to address the dropout rate in the region by connecting at-risk students with the resources and guidance they need. CISPB is encouraging the public to consider supporting their education ahead of the next school year, which, of course, is just around the corner.
Consider collecting school supplies or holding a supply drive, which can be made into a fun challenge between your teams and friends. Or make a donation online at www.cispb.org or text CISPB to 26989. There’s no need to break the bank: commit the dollar amount matching your graduation year. For example: 1994 equals a donation of $19.94.
For more information or to host a supply drive, contact CISPB at info@cispb.org or (432) 205-1364.
