Adika, a 6-0 forward/guard and native of Holstebro, Denmark, played two seasons at Odessa College spanning from 2018-2020, where she earned NJCAA D1 First Team All American honors and was MVP of the Western Junior College Athletic Conference, according to Brandendberg.
“After her time in Odessa, Adika was granted a COVID 19 waiver and played at Butler, TCU, and USC,” the reporter added.
Adika represented the University of Southern California as a graduate student, according to a statement from the Liberty. Last season as a Trojan, she averaged 7.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists on 38.7 percent shooting (43-111) from three-point range.
“Okako Adika is a promising talent who we’re really excited about,” said Liberty General Manager Jonathan Kolb. “As a versatile 3-and-D wing with familiarity in a pro-style offense, she’s someone who we can really use down the line.”
