UTPB to host free Aaron Watson concert after homecoming parade
The University of Texas Permian Basin is inviting the community to a free concert from country star Aaron Watson on Friday, Oct. 27.
The event will kick off with UTPB’s annual homecoming parade around campus starting at 7 p.m. Aaron will perform at Kirk field starting at 7:30 p.m.
“Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs to enjoy the show,” university officials said.
Food trucks and beer for sale will be available on site. No outside food or drinks will be allowed.
After the concert, UTPB will light a bonfire and host a fireworks show.
Then on Saturday, Oct. 28, UTPB’s football team, which is off to an historic start to its season, will host Western Oregon at Astound Broadband Stadium in Midland for its homecoming game.
UTPB is located at 4901 E University Blvd. in Odessa.
