UTPB football climbs national rankings after best start since 2021

UT Permian Basin football climbed to No. 10 in the D2Football.com Media Poll and No. 12 in the AFCA Coaches’ Poll after a 2–0 start under Head Coach Kris McCullough. It is their best opening since 2021.

The Falcons stunned Central Oklahoma 34–14, then dominated Adams State 41–7 behind QB Issac Mooring’s 266 yards and three TDs, a 96-yard pick-six from Jamarion Ravenell, and two rushing scores by Kory Harris.

The Falcons will next play at Texas A&M–Kingsville Saturday, Sept. 20, at 7 p.m.
