Chevron invests $145K to boost education and STEM in Midland ISD
The Midland Education Foundation announced a transformative $145,000 investment from Chevron aimed at advancing education, innovation, and student well-being across the Midland ISD.
The funds will be directed toward expanding STEM opportunities, empowering teachers and enhancing mental health resources for students and educators.
Through this initiative, students will have the chance to explore science and technology through engaging programs such as LEGO Science and Higher Orbits, both of which promote teamwork, problem-solving and curiosity in STEM fields. Part of the investment will also fund critical training for school counselors at the annual Chevron-sponsored Mental Health Conference. This professional development supports counselors in addressing students’ emotional and psychological needs, ensuring that well-being remains a cornerstone of academic success.
