Grand Companions to host Bowling Fur Babes fundraiser

Grand Companions, a West Texas nonprofit focused on animal rescue and rehoming, will hold its “Bowling for Fur Babes” fundraising event on Feb. 28.

The event, scheduled to take place at Diamond Lanes in Odessa, aims to generate essential funding for the rescue and medical care of homeless pets under the organization’s supervision.

Beyond the bowling lanes, the fundraiser will feature a Towel Raffle, where participants can earn a raffle ticket for a mini fridge for every new or used bath-sized towel they donate.

An online auction will allow supporters to bid on various items to benefit the Humane Society’s lifesaving mission.

Competitive bowlers will also have the chance to win prizes for both the high game and the high series in men’s and women’s categories.

Community members interested in participating can sign up as individuals or as part of a team.

Early registration is currently open at the Grand Companions website and includes a free event T-shirt while supplies last.

For those looking to contribute in other ways, the organization is also offering sponsorship opportunities for local businesses and individuals.

All proceeds from the day will go directly toward the operational costs of caring for and finding homes for animals in need throughout the region.
