Midland College names Olivia Trischitti as 2026 Chap Champion
Midland College named Olivia Trischitti the 2026 Chap Champion during its annual Honors Convocation on Tuesday, May 5.
The award is given to students who demonstrate exceptional leadership, a positive attitude, and academic perseverance. Trischitti, a business administration student, also works as an administrative assistant for the college’s maintenance and grounds department.
Faculty and staff nominated Trischitti for her helpfulness and collaborative work ethic. In addition to the award, she received a scholarship provided by the Midland College Faculty Senate. These scholarship funds are raised through the proceeds of the faculty’s annual chili cook-off.

Trischitti plans to continue her education by pursuing a bachelor’s degree in organizational management starting in the fall of 2026.
“Olivia represents the very best of Midland College,” said Michael Dixon, provost of Midland College. “Her work ethic, character, and commitment to others make her an outstanding example of what our students can achieve.”
Added faculty member Son Mai, “Students like Olivia are exactly why programs like business administration are so impactful. She has taken full advantage of her opportunities at Midland College and is well-prepared for the next step in her academic and professional journey.”
The Honors Convocation remains the college’s primary event for recognizing high-achieving students across various academic and leadership programs.
